EmmerdaleĀ favouriteĀ Lisa RileyĀ has officially landed in Australia as she prepares to swap the Dales for the jungle. A Dingle Down Under

Looking radiant after the long flight, Lisa couldn’t resist poking fun at her upcoming adventure, joking that she was ā€œreturning to film a new versionā€ ofĀ Emmerdale: The Dingles Down Under, a 1997 special that saw the iconic soap family head to Australia.

ā€œWe didĀ Dingles Down UnderĀ many years ago, so it’s only fair that we doĀ Dingles Down UnderĀ again,ā€ she laughed. ā€œI’m a Dingle — I can cope with anything. I’m from the North! Us Northerners, we’re made of tough skin.ā€

The 49-year-old actress looked thrilled to be on Australian soil, even as she wheeledĀ four suitcasesĀ through the terminal — admitting she’d packed plenty of options. ā€œI’ve got a lot of bling,ā€ she said. ā€œI’ve just got many options because I’m such a girly-girl.ā€'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' No Fear of Creepy-Crawlies

While many celebrities dread the infamous Bushtucker Trials, Lisa insisted she’s not fazed by jungle life.

ā€œI’ve worked on a farm for years playing Mandy Dingle — it’s part of the job! I’m just here to have fun and a real good laugh.ā€

The actress added that she’s looking forward to meeting ā€œlots of lovely peopleā€ in camp, calling herself ā€œa total people person.ā€
